Post-mortem

I'm still reading the book post mortem. You already know the major points in the book so let me go on with what I have to say. In the part that I'm reading now Mariano calls Dr.scarpetta because there has been another murder. They knew this moment was going to come but they didn't know when. It seems like the killing was like the others so I looks like the killer is back on the move.
Remember that news reporter that kept doing articles about the cases. I think he. Name was
Abby Turnbull. It turns out that was her sister that got killed. They shared the same bedroom on he campus I guess. So this made me think about how th actions of others have an effect on you. Maybe the killer got really pissed off at Abby for writing all those articles about the case. Those articles made the public more aware and that probably go the killer mad. Imnot completed sure of this but thanks to her articles her sister is now dead.
I'm pretty sure that the killer was going for her though. It just happens that her sister was in the room and Abby wasn't and the killer killed the sister. He couldnt risk keeping the sister alive. So it's crazy how Abby should of been dead but instead her sister had to pay the price.
What we do can eithe have a good, bad, huge, or small impact on us.

Post-mortem

I am currently reading the book post-mortem. I've been blogging about this book for a while so I'm not going to waist my time to explain it. Today I read alittle bit of the book and noticed something that was happening. In the story somebody keeps sabotaging the evidence. They keep tryin to look in the information of Lori Peterson. But nobody knows who it is. They think it's Dr. Scarpetta or a stranger from the outside. Who knows maybe it could be the murderer trying to mess with the case. But what I noticed was that nobody is stopping to think about how maybe it could be somebody from their own labs and offices.
Just because they work there doesn't mean they are perfectly innocent and it doesn't mean they don't have to be questioned or suspected. We are so comfortable with the people around us and we don't stop to think about how maybe those are rhe people we need to watch out for the most. They are the ones who know us perfectly well and can easily use that information against us.
So Dr.Scarpetta needs to be more careful. The people in the lab know perfectly well about the investigation. In fact thu are the only ones who know about the case unless the murderer is keeping up on them. So let's supposed they are the only ones who knows, it has to be one of them who is messing with the evidence.

post-mortem

i am currently reading the book "post-mortem". i want to talk about a part in the book where Dr.Scarpetta is called into margaret's office to talk about something. Apparently someone broke into the system to try to steal information from  the case. they suspect it was a news reporter that wanted information to release out into the public. i don't think it was right for them to release information like that because it can put people at risk. also they may put the wrong information out there.
for example now the media has a habit of being nosey and spreading false information. they are always in celebrities lives and ruining it. the media just puts stuff out there and doesn't care about how it affects the people.
that reporter is doing that same thing. all she wants is to get paid and thats it. last time i checked news reporters were supposed to inform the public with good intentions. they don't want them to be harmed or put in danger. so     why break in to some ones computer to put the public at risk?

post-mortem

I am currently reading the book post-mortem. I'm not really into the book yet but i have a few ideas. so far in the book a woman named lori peterson is murdered. this case is similar to 3 other murders. Dr.Scarpetta is the medical examiner who is working with detective marino to find this serial killer.
there is some evidence that can cause the husband to be a suspect. marino is 100% sure it was the husband, matt Petersen. but Dr.Scarpetta does not agree with it. she looks at every possible angle and thinks things through. marino wants to accuse him right away and is the type of cop that rely on only evidence.
as a cop you have to take your time and try to put the right guy/woman in jail. you cant just make assumptions from the evidence. yes the evidence is important but you have to think things through. somebody's freedom is at risk and you don't want to make a mistake.

Ok, so this is my last blog post of the book "Body of Evidence". i finished the book today and it turned out to be a pretty good book. i am going to admit it was a little confusing because detective work is always difficult to understand.
but one thing i noticed was that in that one case there were many different details that sort of came together like a puzzle in the end. its like every piece of evidence is connected to some other person and that other person is connected to some other person that is responsible for the murder. pretty weird right?
that part of the book made me think about how some people ask questions like does everybody in this world know somebody dat knows another person that knows your sister or somebody. i personally do believe that we all link up somehow. it doesnt necessarily have to be in a murder case. you can apply it to anything.

Body of evidence

So this is my second week of reading body of evidence, wand this time I'm actually ahead in the book. The characters in the book are moving on with the case and coming across some obstacles. This book is getting interesting to me and I can actaully learn fromthis since I want to be a csi. I'm noticing how patient an exact you have to be with your work. This book shows how every single detail of a case affects it somehow. If they don't keep in touch with each and fill each other in there will go nowhere. They have to work together to accomplish what they want.this book also showed me how important it is to know how human beige react to certain things and the actions that they make. If cops couldn't determine that they could never figure the killer. But I we all acted the same way cops wouldn't be able to rely on that information either. Simple things like that have a great impact on you being a suspect or not. This book shows the process of how long cases are. Not everyone is suitable for this job. The characters in the book are very hard ore people and they may come across as mean. But that is part of doing there job. They have to intimidate the suspects in order to get them to say what they want to hear. Alot of people these days don't really like cops because of how they act. But they can't take chances with anyone and people don't understand that. They are justdoing there job. I personally don't blame for the way that thy come across to people. I do admit that hey takeadvantage of heir powers and go alittle bit overboard but they may or may not have a criminal I. Front of them.

body of evidence

I just started reading the book 'Body Of  Evidence'  yesterday. I haven't really gotten that far into the book so I can't do much deep thinking. So far in the book there a woman named Beryl Madison. This woman has been murdered. She has been getting stalked and receiving weird phone calls since last year. There is a group of agents who try to find the murderer using forensic science. They are forced to ask themselves some hard questions to try to put the pieces to the puzzle together.
They have to come up with there answers themselves. The way that they make it seem, its considered unethical to use information from other agencies and companies. In the book Kay Scarpetta, the agent whose trying to find the murderer, receives possible good information from a suspect. But that information is from another agency. Its good information but wouldn't it be considered "dirty" information since its from the enemy. You should take that information and use it to the best of your ability. Its not every time you can get good information like that. When it depends on finding a murderer or saving the life of someone your gonna have to change the rules a little bit when it comes to sharing information. Technically it would be considered wrong, but it is for a good cause.

precious

I am reading the book Precious. I didn't get to see the movie so I decided to read the book. It really does break my heart reading this book. its about a girl who gets raped by her father, had a baby at 12 and is having another one at the age of 16, her mother beats her and calls her a whore for stealing her husband, and on top of all of this Precious doesn't really have a good education. She's not very good at reading or writing.
What caught my attention was the relationship between her and her mother. her mother treats her as if she was a slave and not her daughter. She's always making her do things and giving precious commands, and she beats her really badly. she would punch her, slap her, and even get on top of her and continue beating on her. what bothers me is how she calls her a whore and slut.
i think the mother is just mad because the father left her. Does she not realize that its not Precious's fault that her father rapes her. I think she does realize it but she just doesn't want to admit it. she doesn't want to admit the fact that she can't do anything to help her daughter out. she's completely hopeless in this situation. maybe thats the reason to which we sometimes don't like admitting things, and realizing that what we are doing is wrong. we may start to believe we can't do anything to help ourselves out so we become unaware of the problem.
instead of being a good mother she'd rather take all her anger out on Precious her only daughter. Instead of always beating her she should be taking care of Precious and helping her with the babies and teaching her how to do things the right way. But I guess she prefers to be the bad mother. the mother still has time to realize what she's doing is wrong. personally i don't think that hitting your child is that bad. if your child is misbehaving you can give them a little pow pow but talking to them is the better option. there's also the possibility that her mother got beat by her parents really badly as a child. there is research that shows that kids   who get abused by their parents as a child will suffer from some kind of violence problem. her mom probably takes out all her anger from her childhood on Precious. hopefully her mother will turn over a new leaf and try to change her ways with Precious.

Wouldn't it save us more problems? Wouldn't it be releasing a great amount of stress from inside of us? It  will but i guess we don't think about that stuff. So Im still reading the book, A Time To Kill, and it la a really good book so far. It's about a man named Carl lee who murders two white men because they raped and beat his daughter Tanya. Now as a father I thought that was very brave of him. I'm glad he did that. But Carl lee wasn't thinking when he planned this out. Hwe wasn't thinking about his family and what they would be going through. He knew that he would go to jail and he knew there would be consequences. He just didn't know how big of a problem it would end up as. Now his family is living off of what people give them to eat, they are broke, and they haven paid bills in months. Did Carl lee think about this? Now his family is at risk of living in the streets and possibly starving to death because of his mistake. But overall I like how the family still loves him and have faith in him. They are a perfect example of what a family should be. Family should stick together during the bad and good times and always be there for each other. Carl lee was being a little selfish in taking matters into his own hands but he was just a father who wanted to stand up for his daughter. Thanks to those two guys the little girl will have to carry that memory with her the rest of her life. She will always have a little bit of anger inside of her all because of those two idiots.

A Time To Kill

The book Im reading now is called "A time to kill". This book is mostly about a father who goes through tons of trials in court because he killed the 2 guys who raped his 8 year old daughter. I think that was very brave of him to do that. He knew he was going to go hrough all this trouble but yet he did it. Now normally you shouldn't take the law into your own hands. But in the time period of his book the father felt like he didn't have a choice. The little girl got raped by two white guys and she was white. Back then those guys would have walked out of jail pleading not guilty just because they were white. Mr. Hailey, which is the father, knew thats how it was going to work so he killed them. don't get me wrong mr. Hailey should go to jail. He did kill two guys. But at the same time it's not like those guys were innocent victims. They dealer with drugs and raped a little girl. Also mr. Hailey was a concerned father and lost his mind. So I think he shouldn't be punished. What do you think?

response to blog

So i was reading Asha's blog post and i agree with what she is saying. yes it's true people have problems and some people know how to deal with it and others have a harder time doing that. Personally i think it depends on the situation. If some one dies that you really love its gonna be hard. especially if this is your first time experiencing that feeling. An example of a different problem would be someone getting beat at home. that person is going to take out their anger on someone else. I understand why they would do that. they're being abused therefore something in there mind is telling them to do it too. We all go through problems in life but you can't just go to the library and look up how to solve it. you need to figure it out on your own. We were given a life to go through problems and learn from them. it may seem hard to believe at times but nobody has it better than nobody.

http://aentries.blogspot.com/2011/01/how-does-character-deal-with-his.html
I finally finished the book "Bitten" and this is going to be my last blog post about this book. So at the end of the book Clay gets rescued by Elena. He  is in terriblew condition because he was being tortured by the other mutts.
Long story short Clay and Elena ended up together just like I predicted. Now you might sit here and wonder  How I figured it out. Well that's a easy answer. In most books there is always a happy ending. It's very rare for me to see a book that ends in a terrible condition. Is there supposed to be a happy ending to everything we do in life? Elena was not happy with Philip and I knew she loves Clay and she's happy with him. She went through all that trouble to realize that she loves him. It's like a hard day of work and at the end of the week you get paid. when you go through trouble you get rewarded. That's basically how every story goes. The characters go through obsticales and in the end its happily ever after. But sometimes you make work hard and go through a lot of trouble and not get rewarded. I've never encountered a book that shows this and I truly wonder why. Hopefully someday I will find the answer to that question.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

There shouldn't be any surprise that I am still reading the book "bitten" it's not my fault it's a long book. But anyways I think you all know what the book is about since I've been blogging about it forthe past 3 weeks. So I'll just jump right into it.clay and Elena were told by Jeremy to go back to Toronto. Clay was sent to watch over Elena. As much as Elena doesn't want to admit it she has a thing for cowhand clay has a thing for her. But she is in a relationship with Philip. When the two meet it's not a great vibe. Philip try's to be nice but clAy is just rude and disrespectful.
Philip proposed to Elena but she has to hunk about it first. Honestly I really don't think his is fair to Philip. Elena is just wasting her time with and also wasting his time. She knows she doesn't like him. She thinks she likes him because she wants to prove Clay wrong. I don't see where this is going to get her. She's willing to spend the rest of her life wig somebody that she really doesn't love him as much as she thinks.
But in the end I have faith that Elena will realize the big mistake she is doing.

I'm still reading the book "bitten" and it keeps getting better and better. There are 5 members left in the pack. The pack is working together to try to kill the mutts who are responsible for logan and peters death. Things are getting alittle bit too complicated and Jeremy sends Elena back to Toronto. But clay has to go with her. That's a problem because clay and Elena have been having relationships and Elena has a boyfriend in Toronto. Clay has to control himself with Philip.
Clay loves Elena and he doesn't want to ruin her relationship so clay is trying really hard to stay calm. Sometimes you hav to make sacrifices for the people you love even though it's hurting you inside. No matter what happens clay is there to protect Elena from the mutts. He's goin to try to not let his emotions over come him when Elena and Philip are together. We all know that clay can defeat anybody and possibly kill them but this is a test to see how strong clay really is.
I think he can do it. He can use his love for Elena as his power to not do anything stupid with Philip.

So I'm still reading the boom "Bitten". You can't blame me^ it's a very long book. You know what it's about so I won't spend my time summarizing it. Even though I've done about 2 blogpost on this book already there is still a lot of things you and I can get from this book.
I've been reading this book for so long and now I'm realizing what it's probably really about. Elena is always talking about how girls are not meant to be werewolves. She just got lucky because she got bitten by one. That reminded me about how women aren't supposed to do certain things that men do. Elena shows that she has the power and strength to suck peoples blood, slice their neck open, and even fight male werewolves and win.
Now it isn't very lady like for Elena to do that. Compared to men we're more organized and well mannered. But we also have the right to do whatever we want. If some women want to do manly things than they should.

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Ok, so I am still readin the book "Bitten". It's about a girl named Elena and she's a werewolve. She basically lives a double life. She has a husban that doesnt k ke her true identity and her werewolve pack brother,Clay,is her real lover.
Today I was reading about how her pack brother Logan got killed. Elena and Clay are trying to find out who killed him and go on her hunt for him. They fin the person but decides not to do anything to him. Elena is so tempted to do something about the situation holds back because she knows it wouldn't be the righ thing to do. Also she can't kill him cause Jeremy hasn't given her an order to.
I really don't like the fact that all the pack brothers and Elena have to wait til Jeremy gives a comand to do what they want. It's like he owns them in a way. What makes I more confusing is that their okay with that. They never complain abou it. I guess they feel like it's the least they can do since he took care of them all their life and he took them in knowing hey were goin through tough times. They should have the right to do whatever they want before consulting Jeremy about it.
But then again I think it's right for Jeremy to do what he's doing. Let's not forget they are werewolves. So it's really important that they don't do anything stupid. Jeremy is the leader for a reason. He's the older one out of all of them and the midst experienced. He worked so hard to come this far by being a werewolve that he doesn't want a stupid little werewolve ruining everything he has. So he has to make sure thathe knows what the pack is doing at all times.
As you can see I have mixed opinions about this. So what do you think?

Thursday, January 13, 2011

So I'm reading this book called "Bitten". It's about a pack of werewolves trying to kill this other werewolve who is killing in the pack's territory. In the pack there is a girl name Elena. Elena is the only girl in the pack. She is he one who decided that she wanted to live a human life. While she's with her boyfriend Philip she has to hide the fact that she's a werewolf. The pack leader Jeremy called her back to try to find out who the mysterious werewolve is. Elena is forced to remember all those memories of her being with her pack brothers.
Elena doesn't want to live this life style. That's why she left it behind and moved on with her life as a human. She soo confused at this point. It's not like she can forget about her where she came from, who bit her, Jeremy helping he out when she was just beginnin to understand this stuff. She's trying to avoid this by tryingto be like someone who she is not. She's not a human with this perfect life and all. No matter how hard she try she's still going to be that some old werewolf she was. Is it really worth it going through all that trouble to forget who you really are?

16 1/2 on the block

So I just finished this book called "16 1/2 on the block" this book is basically about a boy named Mike and a girl named Latina. These two teens are interested in each other and they both go through a difficult situation together. They are trying to get back the money they lost from robbers and if they don't get it then...well you'll find out.
This book made me think about thiefs and criminals. Police officers just throw them in jail without really wanting to try to help them. Sometimes locking someone up away from the world doesn't always help. That doesn't do them any good. They'll probably so it again.
We don't stop to think about why they need that money they robbed. For example in the book the robbers stole the money because his son needs a sugery that cost over $10,000. Where was he going to get that kind of money from? Nobody wanted to give him a job because of his criminal record so he basically had no choice. Now I'm not saying this is right. But we deserve to help people who think that they have no other choice but to rob banks, stores, or people.
So the next time I see on the news that there was a robbery at the towns bank or something I'm not going to react badly right away. I'm not going to look at the person in disgust or in shame. I'm going to put myself in his or hers shoes and try to understand why they did it. I am not going to judge them right away. I think that everybody who commits crimes are not bad people.
