HOw does the book make you think about justice?"

Right now I am reading the book "Fade" by Lisa McMann. In the book there are a teenage couple working on a case. They have to find out who the sexual predator is in the school (the predator is a teacher). This is a secret case and nobody can know about it.
In the book, the Captain (which is the boss of Cabel and Janie) doesn't tell the school community about what is going on. She keeps it a secret. All these teenage girls are at risk and the Captain doesn't keep these girls on point with what's happening.
I feel like that's how it is in today's society. Nobody is doing anything to get these perverts locked up in jail where they belong. To me these police don't care about anything. I don't know if I'm saying that because of the facat that I don't like cops but whatever. It's like they would study the case and then a year later they find the predator. Do you think it should take that long to find 1 person.
Also I've noticed how in the book they have the kids doing the work. The Captain is just there to collect the information, get the warrents they need, tell them what they need, and she's the one who puts them in jail. That's basically all she does. Now doesn't that lead you to think about how sometimes in society the adult figures just don't care. They act all lazy about the issue and just don't care. If it ain't there problem, if it isn't their child being raped they just don't care. The only thing they do is aware their kids of hte dangers and that's it. They just say,
"Sweetie, if you see someone wierd looking at you just walk away" or " Make sure you walk around with a group of friends so nothing happens"
Is that even enough? Shouldn't there be more awareness of this problem. There are a couple of things society does to help stop this problem. There are websites where their are the names and addresses of these rapist. I'm sure there are organizations to help the victims recover.
I don't think that people are too worried about this issue. Their too laid back as if nothing is going to happen to them. It may be true or it may not, who knows. But you should at least be aware of the issue.

"WHAt really hard things are happening in the text?"

In the book "Aries Rising" there is this girl named Logan. She has two bestfriends named Chili and PAige. Logan is a unpopular girl who nobody in the skool really pays attention to. Logan really wants this Kid named Nathan(he is the most popular and cutest boy in the school) to pay attention to her and also she really wanted toget into this summer camp for writers but she knew that Mr.Frankenstein (Mr.Franklin) wasnt gonna give her a good recommendation.
Logan finds this book in her fathers things and the book is called Fearless Astrology. Supposedly this book is supposed to transform your life. Logan uses this book to get what she wanted, NAthan and the good recommendation. SHe uses astrology to try to figure out deeper into Mr.Frankenstein and NAthan. She finds out that NAthan is a Leo and Mr.Frankenstein is a Taurus. She uses the characteristics in this book to help soften up NAthan Mr.frankenstein and a whole bunch of other people. LIttle by little Logan began being known as "Astrogirl". At the beginning of the book Logan was this loser who nobody cared about and know everybody is all she ever talks about.
The social issue in this book is popularity. Now everybody in her school wants her to do birth charts to finnd out more about their sign and stuff. But before they wouldn't even say hi. All this reminds me of how people i general like to take the easy way out of thingsor they cheat in order to do or get somewhere in life. INstead of Logan solving her own problems with her own mind she uses some book to do the work for her. So basically thanks to that book she got where she is now. There was a moment in the book where everything was falling apart. Nothing was going as planned for her. Logan felt insecure about her decisions and didnt know what to do. The only reason she felt that way was because of the book. The book couldn't help her in that situation. SHe felt useless. BUt then everything went abck to normal thanks to the book again. There are some people in life now a days who either have someone or something solve their problems or they just dont solve them at all. THanks to that book she became known in her school, she became popular.

Some oftye things that I learned abot E.b White makes alot of sense in the book. For example E.B White's caber was piano manufacturer. That would explain why there is a piano in the book where Stuart gets in the piano to fix it. Also I foun out hat his son was some sort of boat maker. That would explain why Stuart is so into boats and sailing.
One of E.b White's favorite subjects were modern society, failures of technological progress, and the pleasures of urban and rural life. Stuart little is a book that is taken place in a city. The city is urban life right? So I'm noticing that E.B White was sort of using his life to write "stuart little". He probably feels comfortable writing about his life.
