Chapter 8: when fern starts telling her mom about what happens in the barn?
I would like to know if Fern has friends to talk to? If she does then why would she go to her mother and tell her about what happened in the barn. This book seems to be taken place in the past. So I don't know what traditions they had and stuff. But I do know that right now ( I guess it's sort of the future) kids don't really conversate with their parents about what they did, or who they go out with, or who fought who. There is usually a friend they have to talk too.
Now I have to take into consideration that Fern lives on a farm in like the middle of nowhere. But still couldn't she just call a friend up nd say " hey listen, today on the farm this and this happened." Or if she doesn't have a friend she can always talk to Avery about things.
If you go to your parents with some crazy story about animals talking in a farm their obviously not goingto believe you. So you would have a better chance telling someone around your age that story.
