I am currently reading the book post-mortem. I've been blogging about this book for a while so I'm not going to waist my time to explain it. Today I read alittle bit of the book and noticed something that was happening. In the story somebody keeps sabotaging the evidence. They keep tryin to look in the information of Lori Peterson. But nobody knows who it is. They think it's Dr. Scarpetta or a stranger from the outside. Who knows maybe it could be the murderer trying to mess with the case. But what I noticed was that nobody is stopping to think about how maybe it could be somebody from their own labs and offices.
Just because they work there doesn't mean they are perfectly innocent and it doesn't mean they don't have to be questioned or suspected. We are so comfortable with the people around us and we don't stop to think about how maybe those are rhe people we need to watch out for the most. They are the ones who know us perfectly well and can easily use that information against us.
So Dr.Scarpetta needs to be more careful. The people in the lab know perfectly well about the investigation. In fact thu are the only ones who know about the case unless the murderer is keeping up on them. So let's supposed they are the only ones who knows, it has to be one of them who is messing with the evidence.

post-mortem
i am currently reading the book "post-mortem". i want to talk about a part in the book where Dr.Scarpetta is called into margaret's office to talk about something. Apparently someone broke into the system to try to steal information from the case. they suspect it was a news reporter that wanted information to release out into the public. i don't think it was right for them to release information like that because it can put people at risk. also they may put the wrong information out there.
for example now the media has a habit of being nosey and spreading false information. they are always in celebrities lives and ruining it. the media just puts stuff out there and doesn't care about how it affects the people.
that reporter is doing that same thing. all she wants is to get paid and thats it. last time i checked news reporters were supposed to inform the public with good intentions. they don't want them to be harmed or put in danger. so why break in to some ones computer to put the public at risk?

post-mortem
I am currently reading the book post-mortem. I'm not really into the book yet but i have a few ideas. so far in the book a woman named lori peterson is murdered. this case is similar to 3 other murders. Dr.Scarpetta is the medical examiner who is working with detective marino to find this serial killer.
there is some evidence that can cause the husband to be a suspect. marino is 100% sure it was the husband, matt Petersen. but Dr.Scarpetta does not agree with it. she looks at every possible angle and thinks things through. marino wants to accuse him right away and is the type of cop that rely on only evidence.
as a cop you have to take your time and try to put the right guy/woman in jail. you cant just make assumptions from the evidence. yes the evidence is important but you have to think things through. somebody's freedom is at risk and you don't want to make a mistake.

Ok, so this is my last blog post of the book "Body of Evidence". i finished the book today and it turned out to be a pretty good book. i am going to admit it was a little confusing because detective work is always difficult to understand.
but one thing i noticed was that in that one case there were many different details that sort of came together like a puzzle in the end. its like every piece of evidence is connected to some other person and that other person is connected to some other person that is responsible for the murder. pretty weird right?
that part of the book made me think about how some people ask questions like does everybody in this world know somebody dat knows another person that knows your sister or somebody. i personally do believe that we all link up somehow. it doesnt necessarily have to be in a murder case. you can apply it to anything.
